Abstract
In view of the recent discovery of ice XI, the ordered form of ice Ih, it is of interest to consider the possible arrangements of protons in the phase. This paper presents a systematic analysis of the 17 ordered structures which it is possible to form from ice Ih assuming a unit cell of 8 molecules. The possibilities with a cell of 12 molecules and special cases of partial ordering are also consideredKeywords
