Abstract
Sperm of D. melanogaster were x-radiated with 2 equivalent doses, one applied continuously, the other fractionally. Comparable frequencies obtained with both types of treatment indicate that no appreciable "healing" occurs, even when the interval between successive fractions is 16 days. The presence of multiple-break, complex rearrangements following the fractionated treatment strengthens the evidence for the theory that breakage precedes reunion. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
