Abstract
The heartwood of Athrotaxis selaginoides Don. (Cupressales, Taxodiaceae) contains hinokiresinol (1), agatharesinol (2), and a novel C17-phenol, athrotaxin, the structure, (5), of which has been derived from chemical results, spectroscopic data, and X-ray crystallography.Keywords
