Abstract
Crown ethers considerably enhance the rate of the α-chymotrypsin-catalysed transesterification of N-acetyl-L-phenylalanine ethyl ester (N-Ac-L-Phe-OEt) with propan-1-ol in n-octane; with subtilisin the effect is somewhat less pronounced.Keywords
