Impaired Hue Discrimination in Homonymous Visual Fields

Abstract
• Impaired hue discrimination confined to homonymous visual fields (hemiachromatopsia) is often accompanied by other visual defects. A patient with hemiachromatopsia had intact visual fields, while pattern recognition was relatively spared in a portion of the achromatopic field. Hemiachromatopsia thus may occur despite the preservation of other visual perceptual processes.
