Influence of Vit. E Deficiency in Rabbit on Urinary Excretion of Free Amino Acids.

Abstract
Rabbits were fed a purified diet with and without vitamin E and the daily excretion of free urinary amino acids was determined. The excretion of free amino acids was elevated in vitamin E-deficient rabbits before physical signs of dystrophy were apparent. At the time of appearance of earliest signs of muscular dystrophy the excretion of free amino acid by the vitamin E deficient animals was elevated 3-fold.
