Abstract
Chloroplasts of several species of flowering plants were fixed 5-180 min in 2.5% aqueous KMnO4 to determine the effect of duration of fixation on the fretwork of the plastids. Comparisons were made with glutaraldehyde and OsO4 fixation. The degree of tubularity of the fretwork varied from species to species and was not a function of duration or type of fixation. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
