Abstract
Streptomycin is rapidly absorbed and excreted following parenteral adm. Approx. 60-80% of the drug is excreted in the urine of the monkey, dog, and rabbit during a 24 hr. period. Peroral adm. results in a lack of transfer of streptomycin into the blood stream. About 80% of the drug can be recovered in the feces. Therapeutic blood concs. are maintained by repeated intramusc. and intraven. injn. Following intraven. dosage, 5-10% of the drug is detected in the bile during an 8 hr. period. Keywords
