Abstract
New radial velocity measurements of the triple system DM Persei are presented. Analysis of these data, together with previously published velocities, shows that the third-body orbit has a period of 98 d, and excludes a previous alternative value of 101 d. The third body, of mass 3.2 Mʘ for coplanar orbits, remains undetected on these high signal-to-noise spectra. The determination of the orbit of the secondary component of the semidetached system is much improved over a previous study, leading to increased masses for the primary and secondary components, but only minor changes to the solution of the light curves. New photometric observations on the uvby β system are required to improve the determinations of the temperatures of all three components. Keywords
