Ovicidal Activity of Insecticides Against Tobacco Budworm Eggs on Cotton1

Abstract
Various insecticides were evaluated for their ovicidal activity against Heliothis virescens (F.) eggs on cotton. Methomyl had the greatest ovicidal activity. Lower rates of methomyl also were more toxic to tobacco bud worm eggs than that of the standard material, chlordimeform.
