The amino-acids of flesh

Abstract
Muscle meat, uterus, and placenta of the pig, normal human flesh, breast carcinoma, chicken feathers, and meat of chickens fed from hatching entirely on maize were analyzed by Van Slyke''s method and by a modification of the method of Kossel and Patten. No fundamental differences occurred in the 2 methods. Tissues of different animals and different tissues of the same animal appeared similar in normal cases, but low lysine content was found in breast carcinoma and in maize-fed chickens.
