Abstract
A new spot test is useful in the detection of amatoxins and tryptamines in both fresh and dried mushrooms. The speed of the test makes its possible to test many individual carpophores of the same species for toxin content. This was done for Amanita phalloides and A. virosa. Seventeen other Amanita spp. were also examined and the results confirmed by TLC.Keywords
