Abstract
0.8 ps TL signal pulses are generated at 160 Gbit/s from a gain-switched DFB-LD using an adiabatic soliton compressor and an optical multiplexer. The 160 Gbit/s signal is demultiplexed to 10 Gbit/s by using an optical loop mirror, which has a minimum optical gate width of 3.0 ps at the small switching energy of 0.5 pJ.Keywords
