Abstract
The analysis of irradiation disordering data in ordered Ni3Mn is discussed. An analytical expression relating observed irradiation induced magnetic changes in this material to the number of alternating site (… [sbnd]Mn[sbnd]Ni[sbnd]Mn[sbnd] …) < 110 > replacements is derived. This expression is then employed to analyze previous experimental results of Kirk, Blewitt and Scott.1 This analysis gives results which appear to be consistent with a previous Monte Carlo data analysis and indicates that the expected number of alternating site < 110 > replacements is 66.4 per 450 eV recoil. Keywords
