A Search for Optical Pulses from the Galactic Centre

Abstract
A search has been carried out for optical flashes in the direction of the centre of the Galaxy. Most of the flashes recorded are adequately accounted for by faint meteors crossing the area of the sky under examination. There remain a few multiple optical pulses, closely grouped in time, which are not readily explained. Possible origins are discussed.
