Coherent Production of $K^{*^{-}} (890)$ by $K^{-}$ at $10 and 12.7 \frac{GeV}{c}$ on $A \approx 20$ Nuclei

Abstract

Coherent

K^{*^{-}} (890)

production by

K^{-}

of

10.0 (12.7) \frac{GeV}{c}

on

A \approx 20

nuclei is observed with

σ_{A} = 150 \pm 50 (131 \pm 35)

μ b/nucleus. The

K^{*}

alignment,

t^{'}

distribution and cross section are consistent with production via isoscalar, natural-parity exchange.
