Abstract
The flame photometer has been successfully applied to the quantitative determination of 0.1% to 1.0% of organic chloride. Copper is added to the sample and the copper chloride emission band at 436 mμ is measured. The method is much faster than the chemical method, and precision is as good when the qualitative composition of the sample is known. Keywords
