Abstract
The interplay of the spectral representation and the renormalization group is investigated from a global nonperturbative point of view. A simple physical behavior is strongly indicated for quantum electrodynamics at high energies, with features resembling strong-interaction duality and critical phenomena. Also included is a renormalization-group derivation of the Goldberger-Treiman relation in ps-ps theory. Keywords
