Abstract
MALARIA IS still a major public health problem in many countries. More than 90 countries are affected, and more than one third of the world population is exposed to the risk for contracting malaria.1 The number of cases in the world is estimated at 300 million to 500 million each year, and the number of deaths at 1.5 million to 2.7 million. Malaria remains the first cause of death in sub-Saharan Africa, where 90% of all cases occur. This publication has 21 references indexed in Scilit:
