Light-Evoked Cortical and Retinal Responses in Premature Infants

Abstract
Recordings of cortical and retinal responses to a series of light flashes were obtained from 50 premature infants and a smaller number of newborns and older infants and children. Data revealed a gradual evolution of the cortical-evoked response with advancing age. The electroretinogram, recorded simultaneously, remained essentially unchanged.
