Abstract
Corn earworms were controlled with DDT. Results from the use of DDT emulsion and DDT emulsion plus oil failed to prove one conclusively better than the other. Pipernyl butoxide-pyrethrin was a less effective insecticide for corn earworms than DDT. DDT wettable powder was about equal to DDT emulsion in one trial and less in another. DDT insecticides applied for the European corn borer may increase the corn earworm population under certain conditions in Maine. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
