Abstract
Two questionnaires concerning locus of control (explanations of reinforcement causes) and attribution (explanations of behavior causes) were administered to 400 children (8 to 16 years old) first with “self” instructions, then with instructions to gain approval or to gain disapproval from either teachers or parents. Children and adolescents had an excellent perception of the high value placed on internality, especially in regard to locus of control, and perfect perception of teachers' expectations for internal explanations of reinforcement control. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
