Abstract
Reinvestigation in 1963 of a zone of hybridization between Campylorhynchus rufinucha humilis and C. r. nigricaudatus in the Ocuilapa Valley near Tonala on the Pacific coastal plain of Chiapas indicated that the zone had remained essentially unchanged in the 9 years since its discovery in 1954. Complete morphological transition between the 2 sspp. occurs over a distance of 20 miles.
