On the apparent kinetics of creep cavity nucleation

Abstract
On the basis that the growth rates of individual grain boundary creep cavities fit a distribution function, it is shown that the observed increase in their numbers during creep is consistent with the view that all cavities nucleate in the early stages of the test.Keywords
