Abstract
Most generating capacity reliability studies assume that there are no inherent energy imitations and therefore concentrate on considering the effect of unit forced outages and uncertain load requirements. It appears, however, that the era of abundant energy is disappearing and that limitations must be included in conventional studies. This paper illustrates an extension of a well known technique for generating capacity evaluation which includes limited energy systems. The approach is illustrated by a simple numerical system example. Keywords
