Abstract
NORPLANT subdermal implants containing levonorgestrel used for contraception by 816 women in international clinical trials have proved to be highly effective: the 3 yr cumulative net, first-segment pregnancy rate was 0.7/100 acceptors. The first-segment continuation rate through 3 yr was 45/100 initial acceptors, which is comparable to that associated with intrauterine contraceptive devices. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
