Abstract
The configurational free energy change ΔA/kT associated with the introduction of a vacancy defect into a two‐dimensional triangular lattice with nearest neighbor interactions is calculated by lattice dynamics in the classical high temperature limit and found to be −1.680±0.002.Keywords
