Quelques verbes d'opinion et leur présupposition : étude génétique de leur compréhension chez l'adolescent.

Abstract
Opinion verbs (like : penser, se douter ...) are used to denote not only the opinion itself but an implicite indication about the truth of the opinion. Study of this understanding by early and late adolescents (from 12 to 15 and 18) seemed of a great interest because of the necessary distinction between two levels of reality this understanding suppose. Experiment consisted of a presentation of some sentences like « X opinion that p » with a question about truth, untruth or indétermination of p with respect to the sentence. In this situation, results suggest that there is no distinction, at 12, between the opinion of X about p and the presupposition denoted by the verb-choice about p. Later on, the development shows an higher frequency of the distinction.
