Abstract
Agar plate cultures preserved with 40% formaldehyde, sealed with rubber petri dish sealers and stored at 4[degree]C retain original characteristics for more than 2 years. The ready availability of reference cultures so prepared greatly facilitates identification work in the genus Streptomyces. Keywords
