Serum Arginase Activity.

Abstract
Serum arginase activity was determined in 34 healthy blood donors. A mean value 0.06 [plus or minus] 0.09 [mu]moles urea formed per ml serum was found with a range of 0.00 to 0.36 [mu]moles. In the sera of 19 patients with proven or suspected liver disease the mean arginase activity was 1.36 with a range of 0.00 to 6.08 [mu]moles formed per ml serum under the condition of assay.
