Another Association With Becker's Nevus

Abstract
To the Editor.— Urbanek and Johnson recently described a smooth muscle hamartoma associated with Becker's nevus in the Archives (114:104-106, 1978). In that report they mentioned the previously observed enlargement of the sebaceous glands in Becker's nevi.1 The following case report seems of interest in regard to these authors' observation. Report of a Case.— A 28-year-old man came to the Denver Veterans Administration Hospital because of hyperpigmentation on the right side of the chest. It had begun in the early teen-age years. Physical examination disclosed an irregular brown pigmentation on the right side of the back with extension laterally around the thorax. Hypertrichosis was noted within the area of hyperpigmentation. Guttate, finely scaly areas were noted dispersed within the patch of hyperpigmentation. These scaly areas spared the skin that was not hyperpigmented (Figure).
