Abstract
The crystal structure of manganese (II) L-tartrate tetrahydrate has been determined and refined by three-dimensional least-squares methods. The crystals are orthorhombic, space group P21 with a = 6.092(5), b = 12.285(7), c = 7.285(4) Å, β = 112°, and two molecules per unit cell. Photographic data refined to R = 0.078. Each manganese atom is surrounded by six oxygen atoms, four from two chelate rings of two tartrate ions, two water molecules. Keywords
