Effects of Anti-Lymphocyte, Anti-Macrophage and Anti-Thymocyte Serum IgG on the Immune Response

Abstract
The primary and secondary responses to SRBC in outbred guinea pigs were characterized using several parameters including enumeration of IgM and IgG PFC present in the spleen and humoral hemolysin and hemagglutinin levels. These parameters were used to study and compare the effects of three heterologous antiserum IgG preparations, namely, ALS, AMS and ATS on the immune response. That immune IgG in all cases failed to suppress either the primary or secondary response to SRBC was shown and these results are discussed in relationship to the findings of others.
