On the initial softness in the equation of state of the d band metals

Abstract
The systematics of the pressure derivative of the bulk modulus (B'0) are discussed from available experimental data on the three transition series. It is shown that the variation in B'0 across the series correlates well with the variation of the s to or from d electron transfer parameter.Keywords
