Abstract
Potato yellow dwarf virus (PYDV) was isolated from naturally infected periwinkle (Vinca rosea) in California. EM of infected tissues and of purified virus preparations from infected plants showed virus particles typical of plant rhabdoviruses. California PYDV reacted strongly with antiserum to the New York [USA] isolate of PYDV. This is the 1st report of a PYDV in the western USA.Keywords
