Abstract
Despite a large number of published randomized prospective controlled clinical trials the indications for perioperative parenteral and enteral nutrition support remain controversial. This article reviews the reports of several recently published consensus conference reports and prospective randomized controlled trials evaluating nutritional therapy in surgical patients.Keywords
