PATHOLOGICAL GAMBLING AND MAJOR AFFECTIVE-DISORDER - PRELIMINARY FINDINGS

Abstract
Twenty-five pathological gamblers were examiend for additional DSM-III diagnoses and family history of psychiatric illness. Eighteen subjects (72%) had experienced at least one episode of major depression, and 13 (52%) had recurrent major affective episodes.
