Abstract
The chromato-graphic separation of steroid 3,5-dinitrobenzoates on alumina and silica was studied. The non-ketonic alcohols from the urines of normal men and women and 3 cases of adrenal dysfunction were esterified and partitioned on alumina. The excretion patterns obtained from the urine of patients with adrenal tumor, adrenal hyperplasia and Cushing''s syndrome differed from normal and from one another, and these differences may be of diagnostic value. Keywords
