Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 66-year-old man entered the hospital because of abdominal pain and rectal bleeding.He had been well until nine years previously, when intermittent claudication developed. Two years later an aortic endarterectomy was performed, and an aortofemoral knitted Dacron bifurcation graft was inserted, extending from a level just beneath the origin of the renal arteries to the common femoral arteries. Three years before admission the left limb of the bypass graft became occluded, and thrombectomy of the graft and of the left femoral artery was performed, followed by a lumbar sympathectomy.
