Abstract
Techniques have been developed for studying the nucleation and growth of CdS crystals on silica fibers and quartz crystals. Results show that at least one type of growth, namely a relatively fast growing (112̄0) plate habit, can be nucleated on crystalline quartz, although the actual mechanism is still in doubt. This growth habit has not so far been observed on silica fibers. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
