Abstract
32 patients with an age range of 9-18 years were selected at the Orthodontic Department of the School of Dentistry, Univ. of Pittsburg, and 3 articulation tests were given. The 1st, before appliances were inserted, the 2d test an hour after insertion, the 3d, after the patient had worn the appliance from 1 to 3 weeks. The patients wearing orthodontic appliances from 1 to 3 weeks did not make more errors in articulation than were originally present. In some instances, appliances do disturb speech patterns temporarily. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
