Abstract
CANCER can be induced in animals with ionizing radiations, oncogenic viruses or chemical carcinogens. Abnormal exposures to radiations increase the incidence of leukemias and skin and bone tumors in man, but the low exposure we endure in everyday life is not considered an important cause ol human tumors. Epidemiologic data suggest a link between a lymphoma prevailing in East and Central Africa, the Burkitt lymphoma and an insect-transmitted virus.
