Abstract
The relation of temperature to the toxicity of a soil fumigant for wireworms has been shown by means of a diagram. A study was made of the toxicity of carbon disulphide to wireworms at various temperatures when other factors, such as diffusion and adsorption have been eliminated. The relation of temperature to toxicity has been determined by a method in which median lethal concentrations were the basis of comparison. The results show that the median lethal concentration of carbon disulphide increases with a decrease in temperature.
