Abstract
The oxidation of sulphides was examined both in clean water and in sewage. The oxidants used were oxygen, at initial concentrations of 3 x 10‐4 to 7 x 10‐4M, and hydrogen peroxide (0.01–0.IM). The reactions were carried out at pH 7. Reaction rate constants and the orders of reaction were determined. Keywords
