The effect of increased positive radial acceleration upon discrimination reaction time.

Abstract
Healthy male college students were exposed to increased positive g levels and during their exposure were given a visual discrimination reaction time test. The results indicate that this discriminatory process is not seriously impaired while undergoing forces equivalent to 5 g. All subjects wore anti-g suits of the Z-2 coverall type and received pressure during their exposure. The results tend to correlate with other research conducted there, indicating little, if any, mental deterioration due to the applied forces themselves in the absence of physiol. embarassment such as black-out or unconsciousness.
