Abstract
From the bark H. octandra-Thw., six new triterpenoids named octandrolal (3a), octandrolol (3c), octandrolic acid (3e), octandronal (3b), octandronol (3d), and octandronic acid (3f) have been isolated, interrelated, and identified. Seven other, known triterpenoids and mangostin have also been isolated and characterised. Timber and fruit pericarp gave β-sitosterol and friedelin. Molecular rotation differences of friedelane derivatives are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
