Anomalous Response of Macroamylase to Assay Temperature

Abstract
An anomalous response to increased reaction temperature is described for two samples of macroamylase, as contrasted with normal serum and pancreatic amylases. A possible method of differentiating macroamylase by assays of activities at 45°C and 25°C is suggested. The ratios of activities found at these two temperatures for a normoamylasemic population are given
