Abstract
This article reports the findings of a study intended to identify the demographic socioeconomic variables that discriminate between two groups of U.S. domestic tourists: those who spend a considerable amount of money on vacation trips—the "Big Spenders"—and those who spend very little on such trips—the "Little Spenders. " The data for this study were obtained from the Bureau of Labor Statistics 1972 Consumer Expenditure Survey. Keywords
