Abstract
The normal ether (arm-to-lung) time ranged from 3-9 secs., with an avg. of 5.8 secs. The ether time is prolonged in many cases of heart failure, and is rarely normal in the presence of right heart failure. The normal Ca gluconate (arm-to-tongue) time ranged from 8-16.5 secs., averaging 12.3 secs. The Ca gluconate circulation time is prolonged in cardiac failure. Circulation times are usually normal in uncomplicated pulmonary disease. Keywords
