Abstract
Assuming constant but unequal asymptotic total cross sections leads to a shrinkage of the forward elastic peak. Moreover, under rather general assumptions, exhibits and infinitude of oscillations in as , a result derived earlier by Finkelstein within the Regge-cut model.
